Submission Guidelines for Dog Books
HOWLN MOON PRESS is always looking for new titles that
have a fresh, unique view on compassionate dog training or related
non-fiction topics. Our authors are special people on a mission
of enlightenment. Their books literally make a difference to
dog owners all over the world. We consider it a priviledge to
bring their insightful, thoughtful work to you.
If you have written or are writing a book that you think may
fit in with our current booklist, contact us with a query letter
or e-mail outlining your manuscript. Do not send a completed
MS unless requested. We will make every effort to reply as soon
as possible. Please also note: We do not accept multiple submissions.
At this time we are not publishing fiction or juvenile books
under our imprint. We do however, offer pre-press and print
services for authors wishing to get into print on their own.

Author Services
PRINTING SHORT RUN
We are a small press that produces its own books entirely in-house
from start to finish. While Howln Moon Press publishes only
dog/dog related topics under its own imprint, we also print
short-run soft cover books and collateral materials for other
individuals, companies and small presses on an as-needed or
print-on-demand basis.
If you need smaller numbers of bound books such as chapbooks,
galleys, childrens books, manuals, and the like, we can output
them for you from a minimum of fifty up to a few hundred per
order. Trim sizes are limited to standard cut paper. We do full
color covers with black/white interiors for most books. Children's
books of less than 32 pages can be full color.
Our books are bound either with double loop wire (folds fully
open... ideal for manuals) or perfect bound... (full wrap covers
glued to a soft cover). We do not produce hard covers. Booklets/children's
books are usually stapled.
